The Beatles – White Album - Original 1968 UK stereo pressing with original top opening numbered sleeve and dark green Apple labels with ‘Sold in UK…’ label text.
An early copy, with all indications that it was pressed and manufactured ahead of the 22nd November 1968 release date to meet public demand.
This superb copy has only received 3 or 4 plays in its 47 year history; so incredibly rare to find a White album with so few plays. A stunning and fresh example of arguably their best work.

YEX 709-1, YEX 710-1, YEX 711-1, YEX 712-1 (all first matrix pressings)
Stamper codes: 4/OH, 1/HL (First mother), 3/GAL, 2/MO ) - Early stamping codes for a White album.

CONDITION
Disc
Visual: Disc 1: EXCELLENT Disc 2: MINT-
Disc one appears mint in strong daylight, under a halogen desklight various ultra-light sleeve removal marks can be seen but no feelable or significant marks at all. Disc one has been played no more than a handful of times.
Disc two is in immaculate condition and retains its original factory sheen and shop freshness and appears mint in strong daylight. Under a strong halogen desklight nothing more is revealed other than a few faint whispy sleeve removal marks. Judging by the labels and condition of the vinyl it would appear that this disc has been played maybe just once or twice on side 3 and possibly only twice or three times on side 4. Both heavy duty discs lie 100% flat on the turntable.
Audio: Disc 1: EXCELLENT- Disc 2: EXCELLENT
Disc one - Whilst there is absolutely no groovewear, distortion or damage to any of the music signals there is some surface noise and light static between tracks and on the quieter passages most noticeably on Dear Prudence, I’m So Tired and Blackbird which grade at or around VG+. However 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' and 'Happiness is a Warm Gun' play superbly as do other tracks on disc one. Disc two which has only been played two or three times in its lifetime grades higher and is free from any distortion or groovewear but does have some occasional surface noise and light static in places but overall the audio is excellent to excellent+. The audio may be improved if the discs are professionally cleaned. Neither record jumps or sticks.
Labels: Disc 1: MINT- Disc 2: MINT-
A pristine set of factory fresh labels with ‘sold in UK...’ label text. All labels retain their original matt finish and are free from any marks save for one or two spindle trails per label.
Cover
EXC+/MINT-
A superb and original 1968 1st issue top opening numbered sleeve (0334427) in fabulous condition. Still retains its wonderful high gloss laminate sheen and shows very little signs of discolouration; still feels fresh and new. Just one faint thumbnail to the front cover. The gatefold is pristine and grades at MINT-. Back panel is without a single thumbnail crease. Spine is in superb condition with virtually all the laminate intact. One only has to look at other examples on ebay to realise that this is great copy and so very rare to find a 1st issue sleeve in this condition.
Inner-sleeves Excellent
Comes with the original black inners.
Poster Exc+/Mint-
Original 1968 ‘lipstick’ poster in fabulous unworn condition. Still retains its original freshness with no seam spits or pinholes and just the absolute minimum of very light handling creases.
Photos Exc+/Mint-
Original 1968 photos in pristine condition. All backs are fresh and clean with exception ‘McCartney’ which has a small mark on rear.
