beatles uk first press STEREO white album 1968 pcs 7067 - 7068
This is the original White Album, bought by my younger brother in London’s Charing Cross Road in the swinging sixties, he was a very keen Beatle fan with a large collection of singles and LP’s, some I have sold earlier on Ebay. Number 0364828 is a very early number and probable bought in the 1st month, as the record sold more than 9.5 million albums worldwide with 200.000 copies in the first week alone!!
I would say it’s in very good condition, its 40 years old but he looked after his records.
With the laminated top opening Gatefold cover and wide spine generally in good condition, some yellowing in the disc shape and a very slight scuffmark to the front cover laminate, the edge and spine are sound, minimal wear to one corner, some age related yellowing to the back cover, the embossed number 0364828 is clear as is the Beatles logo. (shown in photo’s)
The inside to the album cover is clean and is in very good condition.
The four colour photos are in very good condition, the poster is also in excellent condition, some age yellowing, some wear on folds but with no rips or tears.
Supplied with two new black inners.
All four apple record labels are in stunning condition with hardly any spindle wear, all have the sold in the UK text.
Thick heavy weight vinyl lies flat and plays nicely with some very occasional slight background noise that does not affect overall audible quality. I would think the record has not been played very frequently.
Side one YEX 709-1, has two surface marks but do not affect the overall audio quality.
Side two YEX 710-1 very good, light scratches causing occasional clicks.
Side three YEX 711-1 good, slight scratch.
Side four YEX 712-1 very good.
