Description
The time has come for me to part with my 50 year old Beatles collection. This collection consists of LP's, 45's, picture sleeves, EP's, 12" singles, picture discs, sealed LP's, test pressings, acetates, promos, box sets, and CD's from the US and the UK. The collection also includes vinyl and CD's from John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, and Apple artists. There are numerous rarities in this collection. The vast majority of the vinyl is in NM- to NM condition; I tried not to acquire anything with a grade below that, or attempted to upgrade, although a few of the extremely hard to find items I was unable to upgrade and will have a grade below that. If you are a Beatles collector, be sure to bookmark me as the vinyl I'll be listing will surely be of interest. Here we go; a splendid time is guaranteed for all.
The Beatles-"Introducing The Beatles" LP, Vee Jay VJLP 1062, released in 1964. This version has the rarest label out of the many variations; this is all back with the small "VJ" in brackets. This is the "version 2" pressing with "Please Please Me" and "Ask Me Why". This is definitely authentic, with all the requirements ("Beatles" above spindle hole, George's shadow on cover, "Audio Matrix" stamped in dead wax, etc.; both "audio Matrix" stamps are only partial, which is not uncommon). Vinyl, VISUALLY graded by Goldmine standards, is in strong VG on side 1 to strong VG+ condition on side two. Each side has a few to several very light, non-feelable, marks. Both labels have spindle marks and the side two label has some "bubbling" around the spindle hole. Cover is in VG+ condition with some light general age wear, nothing severe. No seam splits. This comes with it's original VJ inner sleeve, in great shape with a creased corner; no tears or splits, which is very unusual for this sleeve. Rare piece of Beatles vinyl; these pressings are very hard to find.
