Description
Love Me Do / P.S. I Love You 1962
1st Pressing
Matrix: 7XCE 17144-1N and 7XCE 17145-1N
Stampers: 1GO (crossed out AD) and 1GO
Both sides of the disc display numerous very light lines which have no influence on play back, at all. Audio quality is superb, with minimal suface noise and none of the usual crackle, so common on these 1st issues. This disc is in great shape and plays through without any loud clicks, jumps or stalls.
The labels are in wonderful condition, with all text, vibrant and undamaged and only the wispiest of spindle trails in evidence. Also, each side has no unwanted writing, often seen on these red variants. There is a genuine record store sticker on side 2 which, I believe, was put there purely to promote the business. The original owners name or initials are usually found in the clear centre, or just above the titles but in this instance, the sticker has not been used to cover this up and has been deliberately positioned on the B side. Either way, it is all part of this records's history. and is authentic.
Comes with it's original sleeve which is in superb condition.
All in all, a great example of the bands first release.
I have other Beatles items listed, please take a look.
