Beatles-Rel. 45 John Lennon Instant Karma Apple 1970 Error First Pressing, NM!
This is a beautiful little error label on Side 1, where the color separation of the label occurred, creating a nice neon halo effect at the top of the Apple.
For those who collect error pressings, or for the collector who would like to start, this is a very nice example.
I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…
Vinyl: NM/NM. Unplayed copy, however; both sides have occasional dust pressed into the playing surface.
Plates: Z7/Z6. Hand-etched letter “O” in the dead wax on both sides makes this copy pressed in Jacksonville.
Labels: EX/EX. Capitol logo at the bottom of the Side 2 label makes this a first pressing.
Sleeve: NM. Stunning Apple company sleeve looks exactly as it did sitting in the record bin 55 years ago.
A generic white sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your NM company Apple sleeve en route.
This is going to make a great Christmas gift for your Beatles collector.
(NOTE:) Be sure to have a look at my new book on flash drive, “Demystifying The Beatles,” on sale now! Endorsed by Perry Cox, this flash drive contains the most extensive database created so far, of American Beatles album labels, many of whom I guarantee the most seasoned collectors have never seen!)
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
Note: All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.
Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!
(Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks!)
