In this auction:

• “MAGIC CHRISTIAN MUSIC” LP by Badfinger

• This is Apple Records ST – 3364.

• It was released February 16, 1970.

• The LP has “Mfd. By Apple Records, Inc.” on the perimeter of the uncut-Apple label.

• Badfinger was the first act signed to the Apple Records label. The Welsh band was originally named The Iveys and changed its name to Badfinger.

• This was Badfinger’s first LP on the Apple Records label.

• George Harrison referred to Badfinger as “The Apple House Band” during The Concert For Bangladesh.

• This LP has 12 cuts including “Come And Get It” (composed by Paul McCartney), “Rock of Ages”, “Carry On Till Tomorrow”, and “Maybe Tomorrow”.

• Three of the cuts on this LP were in the film “The Magic Christian” that starred Peter Sellers, Ringo Starr, and Raquel Welch.

• THE COVER is in NEAR MINT CONDITION and in its ORIGINAL SHRINK WRAP. The shrink wrap is nice and tight.

• The shrink wrap has the UNCOMMON RECTANGULAR ORANGE STICKER with BLACK PRINTING that was adhered to the shrink of some copies of the LP. The sticker measures 2 ½ -inches X 1 ½ -inches and has the LP catalog number, ST 3364, and the printing: CONTAINS THE HIT “COME AND GET IT”.

• The VINYL IS NEAR MINT with just a couple of very light/slight surface hairlines/scuffs. This is a Scranton Pressing.

A VERY NICE COPY of this BADFINGER FIRST LP with the UNCOMMON ORANGE STICKER on the shrink wrap for someone’s vinyl collection! (In fact, I think that perhaps only a still-sealed copy with the sticker on the shrink wrap would be better than the LP in this auction!)
