Description
In this auction:
· “STRAIGHT UP” by Badfinger
· This is Apple Records SW – 3387.
· It was released December 13, 1971.
· “Mfd. By Apple Records, Inc.” is on the uncut-Apple label.
· Badfinger was one of the Beatles’ “First Four” new artists released under The Beatles’ new Apple Records label.
· Badfinger was referred to as “The Apple House Band” by George Harrison during The Concert For Bangladesh.
· This LP, with 12 cuts, has become one of Badfinger’s most beloved LPs, as it contains 2 of their top singles hits: “Baby Blue” and “Day After Day”.
· Todd Rundgren produced all but 4 of the cuts on this LP. Those 4 cuts were produced by George Harrison.
· THE LP COVER is in NEAR MINT CONDITION and still in its ORIGINAL SHRINK WRAP. There is a 2 ½ inch split in the shrink wrap on the bottom edge near the opening.
· You know from the copies of this LP you’ve seen that this dark–colored cover was prone to easily and quickly show wear, especially ring wear, but the shrink wrap has prevented that by protecting the cover these past 45 years.
· And this LP comes with the LP TITLE STICKER on the shrink wrap with the print that reads “Including Day After Day”. It’s become tough to find this LP in the shrink wrap WITH the title sticker, for sure.
· The VINYL IS NEAR MINT.
· I think only a still-sealed copy of this LP with the sticker on the shrink would be better than the LP in this auction!
