In this auction:


  • “STRAIGHT UP” LP by Badfinger

  • This is Apple Records SW – 3387.

  • This LP was released December 13, 1971.

  • The LP has “Mfd. By Apple Records, Inc.” on the uncut-Apple label.

  • “The Iveys” changed their name to “Badfinger” very soon after joining Apple Records. George Harrison, during the “Concert For Bangla Desh” in Madison Square Gardens, introduced Badfinger as “The Apple House Band”.

  • This LP, with 12 cuts, has become one of Badfinger’s most desirable LPs, as it contains 2 of their top singles hits: “Baby Blue” and “Day After Day”.

  • Todd Rundgren produced all but 4 of the cuts on this LP (including “Baby Blue”). The other 4 cuts were produced by George Harrison.

  • The COVER is in VERY STRONG VG+ to NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) CONDITION. There are just a few very light surface creases near the top left and lower left corners. (These keep me from grading the cover Near Mint.) There are NO tears, NO ring wear, NO seam splits, and NO writing on this cover.

  • You know that this LP’s primarily dark-colored cover was notorious for easily showing wear, especially ring wear, but you can see in the images how nice and clean and absent of wear this copy is!!!

  • The VINYL is NEAR MINT.


It’s a GREAT APPLE LP that is tough to find in this NICE CONDITION!!!
