Description
The contributions of George Martin, as the Beatles musical director and producer of almost all of the Beatles’ recordings, have influenced many to consider him as “the Fifth Beatle” (though others, like Pete Best and Stu Sutcliffe, have also been given that designation, too). His contributions to many songs and his instrumental accompaniments to some Beatles LPs are beyond measure and too numerous to list here. Martin’s extensive musical training and sophisticated guidance in the studio are often credited as fundamental contributions to the finished recordings of The Beatles.

The LP in this auction is QUITE UNIQUE, because the COVER HAS A SIGNIFICANT ERROR: The SLICK on the REAR COVER is for the “Patty Duke’s Greatest Hits” LP; it is NOT the correct rear cover slick for George Martin’s “BEATLE GIRLS” LP!

This is the only “error cover” like this that I’ve ever run across.

It’s interesting and coincidental to note that song track listing on the rear over for the Patty Duke LP includes her singing the Lennon-McCartney composition “Yesterday”.

The COVER is in VERY NICE VG+ CONDITION with just some light overall wear and a drill hole at the bottom left corner that designated this LP as a “cut-out”. The cover image is nice and clean and without wear. There are NO SEAM SPLITS OR FLAKING, NO WRITING, NO TEARS, and NO RING WEAR on this LP. There is practically no wear on the corners at all.

The VINYL is in VERY STRONG VG+ CONDITION with a few very light surface hairlines/scuffs (none “feel-able”). The vinyl has LOTS OF GLOSS!

Included is a United Artists inner sleeve, but I don’t know if it is the correct inner sleeve for this LP.
If you haven’t listened at all or not so much to George Martin’s LPs, you’re really missed out on a treat. The instrumental quality of his work is wonderful. The Beatles were definitely fortunate beyond measure to have had Sir George Martin as their Musical Director to aid in refining their recording productions.

On Jul-15-21 at 09:06:25 PDT, seller added the following information:I forgot to mention that BOTH sides of the vinyl play the George Martin "Beatle Girls" tracks that are printed on the labels. There are NO Patty Duke songs on the vinyl.
