1961 1st *GERMAN* PRESS 45
**RARE GERMAN INTRODUCTION**
This record contains the first ever appearance of The Beatles on a commercially available disc.
The is an extremely rare 1st pressing from October 1961 which plays the German introduction to the song 'My Bonnie'
On the orange with gold stars Polydor label: 24 673 with the label subtitle: 'Mein Hertz ist bei dir nur' (Rock)
Housed in its original rare black & white 1st press picture cover.
(Later copies, released in January 1962, had the label subtitle changed to 'Twist' played the English introduction.
The word 'Twist' was also added to the picture cover.
Matrix numbers: X24 673-2 A & 24 673-2 B
'Made in Germany' is stamped into both run-outs.
CONDITION DiscLabels: EXCELLENT
Visual: VERY GOOD MINUS
Clean but with numerous light scratches but nothing deep or feelable or any other major faults.
100% flat both sides on the turntable without any dishing or warping.
Audio: VERY GOOD MINUS
Despite some minor background and light ticks on the run-in and introduction to each song, the sound quality is excellent with excellent bass response.
Both sides play without any groovewear distortion, heavy clicks or any other major audible faults.
Cover: VERY GOOD
Despite its fragility & some general handling & storagewear, this rare example is in very respectable shape.
A small red cross has been written on the front panel and there is a faint name in pencil on the rear.
There is some wear along the top edge but no tears but the seams are unsplit
Both discs have been carefully audibly graded in their entirety on a Rega P9 deck fitted with a Shelter 901 cartridge.
