Beethoven Eroica Variations Sonata 7 Gilels DGG 2532 024
Emil Gilels plays the 15 “Eroica” Variations and “Piano Sonata No. 7” of Beethoven. A German stereo pressing on the Deutsche Grammophon Label (2532 024), the record is of immaculate appearance. The cover has some creases at the left-hand corners and side.
This record is one of a collection of records that had never been played. Some are sealed*, some have a store seal** and the rest are in mint condition.
* very few records outside the U.S. were ever shrink wrapped and it was only toward the end of the LP Era that this became common.
**Some record stores in Australia before being placed on their racks would attach a seal, either to the opening of the cover, or over the inner bag.
