Description
This record was made and printed in Great Britain and is the original first issue record, NOT a re-issue or foreign press. Wide band with "Original Recording By" at 10 o'clock. Cover is the original desired blue back and Printed in England on bottom left corner. Recently I acquired one man's lifetime collection of classical records from his deceased estate. I am auctioning the best of them on ebay. So please look out for my other auctions. This is the first one to go up.
This is Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3 played by Julius Katchen with the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Pierino Gamba.
The condition of this record is really amazing. I have not had the record cleaned but it played very well. I would grade it very good plus to excellent. This man took care of his records, always keeping them safe and it still has its original Decca sleave . The record really looks like it's hardly been played. No visible scratches that I can see. I listened to it once and it was a pleasure with a very immediate sound , no skips, jumps, or clicks, and minimal surface noise. If cleaned that should get rid of most of the surface noise. I held it up to 3 naked light bulbs and all I could see were a couple of very light scuffs, no scratches that I could feel at all. No spindle marks around the hole and label looks fresh. The cover is bright and in excellent condition, no splits or marks , and with one tiny closed tear at the opening measuring 1 cm. . The record is posted surface mail at a nominal charge of only $4. I can airmail records, which takes about 2 weeks anywhere in the world. The cost of airmailing is $16 . If you win more than one item the charge is $6.50 per additional record worldwide. I charge the SAME RATE FOR ANY COUNTRY, ie a flat rate to USA, Europe, Asia, or anywhere else, with no exceptions. Registration and insurance can be provided if available to your country and subject to actual Post Office cost.
My records are packed carefully using proper boxing with thick card and bubble wrap for added protection.
