Description

"Beethoven: Gesamtwerk fur Klavier und Violoncello": Wilhelm Kempff and Pierre Fournier; Boxed set of 3 LPs (DG 138 99, 1966)

We're auctioning Kempff at the piano, Fournier on the violoncello; 6 sonatas, 7 variations on Mozart ("The Magic Flute"; "Bei Mannern, welch Liebe Fuhlen"), 12 variations on Handel ("Judas Maccabaeus"), 12 variations on Mozart ("The Magic Flute"; "Ein Madchen oder Weibchen"). Condition: LPs are NM-: as clean as one could wish for, without noticeable defects of any sort, an audio sampling revealed very occasional clicks but these were quite light and very infrequent; the box and booklet are VG: just a little finger-soiling to the back of the box and to the booklet, box is also just a little rubbed at the front; sound otherwise with trace wear to the edges but no substantial loss and its integrity fully maintained; small pen note to inside of box of purchase date. Records are inspected in strong light, sampling is performed on a Technics Quartz SL-1200MK2.
