Budapest String Quartet-Beethoven Nos.9&11 FIRST PRESS LPs Columbia 6 EYE Vinyl Record.
LP Plays much better than it looks. That 6 eye sonic quality is unparalleled! The scratches are surface and not heard. The old pinky fingernail test works . The sleeve is fragile. Beautiful sound. Surface noise at beginning and end of lp but only minimal popping and I mean one or two tops near end even then quiet. Nothing interfered with my enjoyment of this lp during test. Some LPs look perfect but you hear skips and scratches this one is the other way around. I have noticed that a lot with my 56 year old Creedence records. The quality of the actual vinyl is so important half a century after the manufacturing process. I'm not trying to sell you the LP really if no one buys it I will listen to it on a regular basis and be happy I mean that's the goal right?
I'm glad I bought this record no matter what as it's given me a real insight into Beethoven as well as the high quality of six eye pressings. ... And you can't judge a book by looking at the cover and I mean that intrinsically referring to the actual vinyl as opposed to extrinsically which would be referring to the record cover.
I used to date a music major and she really went over classical music with me as she was a bit of a genius and she taught me all about Prokofiev , Shostakovich and many others but she included Beethoven in terms of her favorite composers!
Shipped USPS media mail with tracking information to buyers with positive feedback. Though I accept returns please do not return this LP. I decided to ask for a very reasonable price on the basis that like me you will keep it and listen to it despite its parents. Many sellers would grade this LP near mint based on the sound which is completely justified but personally I can't let this go out the door without visually grading the LP and ranking the visual or the lowest common denominator as the highest in terms of grading. I painstakingly took 24 photos in order to be 100% transparent with the buyer. I'm looking for a way to incorporate video into my listings. Does anyone out there wish to let me know how to take videos and upload them to my listings?
