Beethoven Piano Concerto 3 Katchen U.K. Decca SXL 2106
Original UK “Fatband” Decca 2000 Series
Julius Katchen with the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Pierino Gamba perform the “Piano Concerto No. 3” and “Rondo in B Flat” by Beethoven. An English stereo pressing on the Decca Label (SXL 2106 stampers 1E/2 E), the labels have a fatband, ffss logo, Original Recording by.. at 10 o clock and a groove. The record has a few minor surface marks and is otherwise of excellent appearance, and plays and sounds superb with occasional low-level surface noise. The cover laminate has rubbed slightly and the back has a blue ffss border with cut-outs.
