Rattle & Mitsuko Uchida's Beethoven, all piano concertos Zyklus appear in LP ★ Rattle & Mitsuko Uchida's "Beethoven: Piano Concerto All Songs Zyklus (Recorded in 2010)" will be released on LP. Mitsuko Uchida performed about 30 performances during the 16 years when Rattle was the principal conductor of the Berlin Philharmoniker. This number of co-stars is higher than other soloists, and he regularly and intensively co-stars with Mozart, Ravel, Schumann, Messiaen, and this time Beethoven. Mitsuko Uchida has had a good relationship with the orchestra since her debut in the Berlin Philharmoniker in 1984, and in 2013, she celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Philharmoniker, including the Artist in Residence in the 2008/09 season.・ I am also invited as a guest soloist at a concert. ★ This time, Beethoven's Piano Concerto Zyklus, which was held in February 2010, will be released. The concert was divided into four parts, and at the same time consisted of Sibelius's symphony, Ligeti, Kurtak and an interesting program. ★ Speaking of all Beethoven's piano concertos by the Berlin Philharmoniker, since the Karajan era, the chief conductor has appointed his favorite pianist to perform. That is, Karajan was taken up by Alexis Weissenberg and Abbado was taken up by Maurizio Pollini, and the recording was also made. Uchida was the most co-starred pianist and instrumentalist with him during the Rattle era (about 30 performances), and the results have resulted in Mozart, Ravel, Messiaen, Schumann, and Beethoven. This release is a testament to Uchida's most important soloist for the Berlin Philharmoniker and a homage to her. "British people have never" owned "Beethoven, so they are tolerant, which is why I live in London," Mitsuko Uchida said in an interview. Mitsuko Uchida, who lives in England, who allows free expression, Rattle, who is an Englishman, and the Berliner Philharmoniker, who “owns” Beethoven and has a great tradition, are undoubtedly wonderful.
