Beethoven Symphony 7 Cantelli UK HMV ASD 253
RARE ASD 488 UK ASD Cream and Gold
The Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Guido Cantelli performs the Beethoven Symphony No. 7. An English stereo pressing on the HMV Label (ASD 254), the labels are cream with a gold border and stereophonic, plum lettering, Made on Great Britain, and a small shaded dog. The record has some prominent marks (Spindle damage?) that do not appear to sound, and light scuffs and there are about 8 clicks in the first movement and approximately 14 clicks – some quite loud in the second. Otherwise is of very good appearance and plays and sounds superb with consistent low level surface noise and occasional crackle and the performance is sublime. The cover has rubbed with a ring and some small creases.
