BENNY GOLSON - TAKE A NUMBER FROM 1 TO 10, Argo LP 681, stereo, deep groove pressing, glossy laminated jacket.
On this unusual recording from 1961, Benny Golson (tenor sax) performs unaccompanied on the first track, after which one more musician is added on each track, culminating in the 10-piece orchestra heard on the final track. The musicians are Tommy Williams (bass), Albert Heath (drums), Cedar Walton (piano), Freddie Hubbard (trumpet), Curtis Fuller (trombone), Sahib Shihab (baritone sax), Nick Travis (trumpet), Willie Ruff (french horn), Bill Elton (trombone), Hal McKusick (tenor sax), Sol Schlinger (baritone sax), Bernie Glow (trumpet), Art Farmer (trumpet).
The tunes are You're My Thrill, My Heart Belongs To Daddy, The Best Thing For You Is Me, Impromptune, Little Karin, Swing It, I Fall In Love Too Easily, Out of This World, The Touch, Time.
Condition of record is E, no scuffs, no scratches, a few spindle marks. Jacket is very clean - no ring wear, no seam splits, drill hole through center and label.

E = Excellent. Some evidence of having been played, with no audible defect. Shiny surface, no groove wear.
V = Very Good. Noticeable wear, visual and audible. Records with slight surface noise and/or scuffs fall into this category.
G = Good. Not really all that good. Records in this category have more significant damage or wear.
F = More severe damage, distracting surface noise. Only used in incidence of extreme rarity.
P = Poor condition, proves existence of record only.

We think that most buyers want to receive their winnings quickly, so we offer the fastest mail options and we pack our records very carefully in heavy duty mailers. Shipments are made on Saturday and Tuesday mornings. Records which have been paid for by 3:00 PM on the day before will be shipped on those days.
