Description
United Artists LP #4020 is Benny Golson and the Philadelphians featuring Lee Morgan, Ray Bryant, Percy Heath, and Philly Joe Jones from 1959. This particular collection that I will be slowly putting up in the coming months, is super clean. I've never seen a collection so pristine. The spindle hole is very very clean-possibly unplayed. The grooves have a brilliant shine to them. There is a light surface scratch on track one side one. The front of the jacket has a rough feel to it...can't describe....(but it's sopposed to be that way...) The spines are all intact. The back has some slight yellowing, but otherwise...nearly perfect! You really won't believe it when you see it...absolutely stunning! The tunes are; You're Not the Kind, Blues on My Mind, Stablemates, Thursday's Theme, Afternoon in Paris, and Calgary. You may never find another in this condition! I've certainly never seen one in this shape. See my other listings for more Blue Notes, Prestige, Riverside, etc...and some blues, too.
