Item for Sale: Benny Goodman Sextet Shellac (4) 78 RPM Record Set w/ Binder 1944 VG+/VG++ RED Label
Artists: Benny Goodman
Benjamin David Goodman was born on May 30, 1909 in Chicago, Illinois and passed away on June 13, 1986 in Manhattan House, New York, New York. He is know as the "King of Swing" as a band leader and as a American Jazz in the mid-1930s, Goodman led one of the most popular musical groups in the United States.
Cover: (VG+)Very Good Plus: Cover is in gr8 condition. The binder was taped to reinforced some minor wear at the top of the spine. There is slight wear along the bottom of the front binder.
Shellac Record: (VG++) Very Good Plus Plus: These records sound incredible. Record 1 had a chip on an edge but does not affect the playing. There are scuffs and scratches that are difficult to see on camera but they play tested without skips or ticks. These shellac 78 records are extremely durable if cared for and handled properly which clearly the previous owner took great care with this collection.
