Berliner Gramophone Record Glasgow 1899? IFFs Orchestra
I am having a clear out and am listing a handful of uncommon 78rpm records from the early years of sound recording.
From the dawn of the UKs recording industry comes this 7” Berliner record. Someone has written in pencil “1899” but I can’t see a date etched into the central area on this record.
The performers are IFFs Orchestra playing La Poupee Polka. The inscribed label area also carries what appears to be the signature “Wilhelm Iff” and states “Glasgow”. It is noisy but playable on my set-up here – not at all bad by Berliner standards. Please see photo for an indication of condition.

2 - 4 Records = £6.95 (Royal Mail Standard Parcels)
COMPENSATION
All of the above UK P&P rates include basic insurance cover for loss or damage. The Royal Mail compensation limit is £41.00 per parcel and courier compensation limits are generally £50.00 per parcel.
