American 1st issue of the film soundtrack to "The Man With The Golden Arm" (19655, dir. Otto Preminger), featuring music composed by Elmer Bernstein.
Jazz sequences arranged and played by Shorty Rogers and His Giants with Shelly Manne.

This film starred Frank Sinatra, Eleanor Parker, Kim Novak, Arnold Stang and Darren McGavin.

Condition (refer also to notes at bottom): Vinyl: G-VG. Looks very clean on visual inspection. Lots of fogging and misting across both sides but only a few hairlines and scuffs visible. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is very good throughout. Some mild surface noise and static at start of each side and during quieter cues. Plays with no skipping, jumping or sticking. A decent example.
Outer Sleeve (Cover): F. Colours are clear and unfaded. Thick card sleeve typical of American releases. Lots of foxing and rubbing across front artwork but edges, corners and spine in decent shape. Top edge split about 8 cm from aperture. Spine is worn but intact generally though text not entirely readable. Aperture slightly dogeared. Back of sleeve badly stained and discoloured but text is readable. Overall a fair example.
Inner Sleeve: EX. Poly-lined white paper with square corners and central hole. Blue printed Decca text on one side but clean and intact.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
