Exceptionally rare, non-commercial red-vinyl LP issued by Lincoln & Mark IV Continental car companies through their Kenyon & Eckhardt ad agency. Here are Lenny-introduced excerpts from a November 30, 1958, N.Y. Philh./Westminster Choir performance of Beethoven’s Ninth (taken from the very first of Lenny’s 15 “Lincoln Presents. . .” TV shows), with all-star vocal soloists Leontyne Price, Maureen Forrester, Leopold Simoneau, and Norman Scott. THIS PERFORMANCE--NEITHER COMPLETE NOR AS THE EXCERPTS HEARD HERE--WAS EVER ISSUED COMMERCIALLY. (as stated, This disc is not even listed in Bernstein’s on-line discography at leonardbernstein.com!)
CONDITION of VINYL: playgraded-- Disc has a few very soft “pops” here and there, making it VG++
CONDITION of SLEEVE: very cool unique silver-and-black hard-cardboard cover, with Bernstein’s name embossed, has some seam splits and other aberations to it, and is VG
