Description

Of offer here is a first (only?) pressing of Bert Jansch's 1969 LP Birthday Blues, Transatlantic TRA179, with A1/B1 matrix numbers front and back. At first glance this is a rally nice copy, the sleeve is easily in EX condition, with the trace of a biro'd name on the rear cover (just above the tree in the top right picture). Where the lamination hasn't reached the edges there's a bit of age-toning. There were two little brown marks on the front (see photo) which I've now removed. No creasing etc, a nice sleeve, and cute dog too.
At first glance the disc is also in EX condition. I've looked really hard and can't find any spindle marks on the labels, and the disc has a nice sheen and no obvious scratches etc. On closer inspection the grooves are a little dusty, and this reflects when played, as there's minor surface noise, esp on the quieter sections. I suspect if it's professionally cleaned it'll come up really nice, a solid EX.
Will be posted/packed with care. P+P £3.50.
