They always proclaim that you have never heard anything like it. That particular album is the best yet. The writer always builds up the singers and tells what they have done in their past life and what they intend to do in the future. This is not what an album is made for. A gospel album is made to glorify God. It is recorded with songs that are meant to reach the hearts of men and women who are in need of true salvation in our present day and time. It cannot bring back the past and we cannot see in the future. People of God must strive today for lost souls. There is a message in every song on this album if you will only take time to listen to the words and what they mean. Betty Baker - lead, Linda Babb - tenor, and Kaye Anderson - alto, make up the trio of the Joyful Sounds who travel through different states preach- ing and singing about the gospel of Jesus Christ. Don’t take my word, sit down and listen to this album, Through It All, and enjoy it. Teloa R. Tackett Everytime - no matter how many times I start practicing for a new album, there seems to be an excite- ment that fills my soul - a reaction that causes the butterflies in my stomach to flit just a little harder than at any other time in my life. I have wondered, “Why do I feel this way?”. Now I know after hear- ing many say to me, “Sister Betty, I bought one of the Joyful Sounds’ records, and my aunt, uncle, cousin, my next door neighbor or my friend who was a sinner gave his or her life to Christ because they were touched by the songs you sang.” The ‘butterflies’ I have, I believe,is the anticipation that the recording will cause someone, somewhere to give their heart to Jesus Christ, I pray this album will accomplish this task. Then through the tears, through the trials, through the sorrows, through the pain, Through It All, it’s worth it. Betty Baker With me being the newest member of our group, and this being my first recording, I guess you can realize how excited and thrilled I am waiting to record my first album. I enjoy very much traveling with the Joyful Sounds from state to state, from church to church. To watch people receive a blessing makes me realize the Lord is with us and is still blessing his people everywhere. I feel that the Lord blesses The Joyful Sounds more than any other group, but I know every group feels the same. Some groups try to always be on top for popularity, but we are striving for perfection to be on top for Christ. And I know that someday Through It All,'with the grace of our Lord, we’ll make it. Kaye Anderson In recording an album, there is always thrills, excitement, tension, and sore throats. But the greatest thrill of all is when someone tells you they have accepted Jesus Christ as their Personal Saviour through the songs they heard on your albums. That’s why we pray that Jesus directs and engineers every song we record with his power, because without Christ leading, The Joyful Sounds could do nothing. We hope you will listen and receive a blessing through this, which is our fourth album. Because Through It All, and only by his help, we’ll make it.
