Description
Epic LN 3202, yellow and black label with black stobe-like lines around the perimeter of the label, deep groove, original, mono. 6 tracks with Betty Carter, Bryant, piano; Jerome Richardson, flute; Wendell Marshall, bass; Joe Jones, drums. 6 tracks with the Ray Bryant 3 includes Marshall and Jones. This was Carter's first work under her name as leader and remains as one of her finest recorded performances. Hard to find. Cover: Vg+ or Better Intact. Wear on 1 corner. Some light aging on the front and back cover. Record: VG+ to Mint(-) Visually shows minor wear with a number of small rub and brush-like rub marks. Most, barely visible. Played a number of times but no real indication of groove wear. 2 or 3 tracks have a few clicks, but most of the tracks have only an ocassional click. The overall condition is very good with the minor surface noise as described. I have graded the recording asccordingly with allowance for the infrequent noise. Audibly checked.
