Description
Black label with silvertone text, deep groove. Vocalist, Betty St. Claire is accompaned by Barry Galbraith, guitar; Edwin Swanston, piano; Addison Farmer, bass; Herbie Lovelle, drums on 8 tracks. Recorded in 1955. On 4 tracks St. Claire is accompanied by Hal McKusick, reeds and Billy Byers, trombone. Very rare. Burt Goldblatt cover art.
Cover: VG 8" scotch tape repair on the bottom edge. There are 3 short stains from former scotch tape on the bottom edge of the back cover. Light edge and corner wear. Light aging on the back cover.
Record: VG+ Visually shows very light wear with 4 light surface rub marks on each side and slight discoloration on part of the record surface. There are several clicks on Side 1, mainly on the first 2 tracks but there are some clicks on most tracks. Side 2 has some crackling on the first 3 tracks. On the balance of 3 tracks the noise is reduced to a few light clicks. The noise described can be partly attributed to the some wear but also to the early JUBILEE pressing. Audibly checked.
