BEYOND THE IMPLODE

"LAST THOUGHTS" E.P.

 

A guaranteed original and EXTREMELY RARE BTI 1st E.P. recording from 1979 (Number 40 of only 250 copies) of the one and only original pressing DIVE 101 on the private DIVERSE RECORDS label. It was recorded in and around the Liverpool (England) area between April and June 1979.  This is my personal copy which I have played about twice since 1979.  It is in immaculate condition. It has an excellent sleeve which is number stamped 000040 and includes the original loose lyric sheet (all were B+W photocopied of course in the true spirit of DIY Punk) also the record label is stamped.  I had intended to retain this record indefinitely but I am aware that there is renewed interest in the punk music scene so I have decided to give someone else the chance to own and appreciate it.

This E.P. from the original #1 line up Eddie Cameron (vocals, guitar, design & band concept), Mike Gardler (lead guitar), Ian Gardler (Bass / hypabeat) & Frank Hughes (Bass on B: 1+2 who was later a sound engineer at the OPEN EYE studios in Liverpool).  I was a member in line up #2 in 1980. 

This is a very rare PUNK / SYNTH single on the "wants" list of many collectors on the net.

This E.P. was given airplay on several occasions by the late BBC Radio 1 DJ John PEEL (RIP) who often complimented our tracks.

Also here is some useless info: I was present with Ian Gardler in the famous "Eric's" punk club in Liverpool in 1979 when we saw JOY DIVISION. Ian G and I met Ian Curtis (RIP) and the band, we gave him a copy of this E.P. In return he gave us several copies of the JD flexi disc "Incubation" and I still have my copy!!!
