Description
This is Texas dee-jay J.P. Richardson (known affectionately as The Big Bopper) singing "Chantilly Lace" on D 1008 from 1958. This is the original pressing on the D label (it was later released on Mercury and went to # 6 on the Billboard charts). This copy on the D label looks VG++ with minor surface markings and 2 red X's on one of the labels. This record plays in NM condition. There are two picture sleeves. The one with yellow titles is a custom picture sleeve made in Canada or England and is in MINT condition. It is a one-off sleeve that was not mass produced. The picture sleeve with the white titles is a custom sleeve that was available over the internet in the 90's. It also is in MINT condition. All of this comes in a clear, resealable, poly-vinyl protective sleeve with a cardboard backer separating the record from the picture sleeves.
