Cheap thrillsOriginal 1st Press OZ LP released in 1968 on the Orange & Black CBS Records Label. Cat:SBP233584.
After a relatively obscure indie debut album, Big Brother's unforgettable appearance at the Monterey Pop Festival led to CHEAP THRILLS, their major label bow. Its R. Crumb cover art made it a visual standout, but the visceral power contained within heralded Janis Joplin's arrival as a new countercultural blues-rock diva. Partially recorded live at San Francisco's Fillmore, CHEAP THRILLS showed Joplin's affinity for the blues, as she effortlessly covered the standard "Summertime" as well as her heroine Big Mama Thornton's "Ball & Chain."
Tracks: Combination of the two/ I need a man to love/ Summertime/ Piece of my heart/ Turtle blues/ Oh, sweet Mary/ Ball and chain.
Record has some light scuff marks and very light scratches which cause some light crackles throughout and is in VG+ condition. Gloss cover has some ring wear and light marks and is in VG+ condition..

Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
Post methods within Australia: All records are posted via Australia Post. Within Australia all items come with a tracking number.
Post method for overseas: All parcels are sent via Australia Post and are sent on a standard airmail service. There are no tracking numbers on these items. If you require a tracking number the item will have to be sent as an insured item which incurs a further postage fee.
