“Big Joe” Long-45-“Just For A While” b/w “The Things You Do”-Progressive Sounds Of America Records #1148-KillerKool 1966 Maywood CALIFORNIA Garage-Punk. Same label as the ROOSTERS (“One Of The Days”). A side is KILLERKOOL folk-punk, like a punk Barry McGuire, same style lead vocal as McGuire on “Eve Of Destruction”, great Jim McGuinn inspired 12-string guitar throughout with a REALLY BOSS 12-string lead break—really cool, right on key, no sour notes. Great track. B side is of same nature-really moody & Great with a Dylan vibe, has a prominent “Like A Rolling Stone” style B3 organ along with 12-string accompaniment, really dynamite stuff in that Dylanesque mode. REALLY Great 2-sider.
Condition: Record is VG- or better, some very light paper scuffs, surface scuffs visible in certain light angles...Some slight background noise
at times, obvious background noise on B side at times
Label clean both sides; some light wear.
