Description
Prestige Bluesville 1067, “Big Joe Williams at Folk City”, from 1962. Original blue-and-silver vinyl shows only superficial sleeve marks and plays at VG++ to NM with very little background sound. The jacket has significant seamwear on the top seam and on the top of the spine; the bottom seam is fine. There is minor corner wear, considerable age-toning and soiling, and a previous owner’s stamp on the front. If you have a good cover with a bad record, this is the LP for you! Songs are “Mink Coat Blues”, “Burned Child Scared of Fiare”, “Baby, I Ain’t Gonna Let You Go”, “Trouble Gonna Take Me to My Grave”, “Bugle Blues”, “Just Want to Be Your Man”, “I’m Gonna Do It This Time”, “She’s Doggin’ Me”, “How You Want Your Rollin’ Done”, “I Can’t Sign My Name”, “Bottle Up and Go”, and “I’m Tired, Woman”. This is one of the few live performances on the Bluesville label, from early 1962. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $20.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, and Australia; elsewhere inquire. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 per LP domestic, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, I strongly recommend registered mail for $12.00 extra. Many old records are now practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be caught in a postal conveyor belt and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window with no damage to LP or jacket. More than two LPs may be mailed together in a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs
