Description

A fantastic copy of Willie Mae "Big Mama" Thornton performing Hound Dog and Night Mare. On the Peacock Label, #1612, 1952 R&B 78 RPM Record. Recorded on Don Robey's Peacock Label in 1952 with Johnny Otis's band. Became a million-selling hit in 1953 before Elvis' version was dreamed up. Comes in a new paper sleeve. While Hound Dog is the main attraction, Night Mare is also a great side. A must-have record for your Friday nights.

Good vintage condition. Plays better than it looks. Pretty clean sounding when played through. Both sides have slight surface noise present but not overbearing. More music than not. Could use a general cleaning of course. Overall a fantastic record in great shape for its importance and age.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL RECORD GRADERS AND CAN ONLY PROVIDE A BASIC DESCRIPTION OF THE RECORD'S CONDITION.
