Description
This is a great condition cover and vinyl Big Star #1 Record still in shrink wrap, but carefully opened, not sealed. I'm not a dealer so please see the photos for the condition. (I previously described this as a mint cover but given it has ring wear I'm not calling it mint and leaving it up to you to grade the cover.).
Here's the story: I am nearly certain that it had been re-sealed and is NOT in its original cellophane. 1) There is a scrap of cellophane within the shrink wrap. 2) This is a cut-out copy, and the previous (unscrupulous) dealer put a price sticker over the cut on the front to hide it. But on the back you can see where the cut is beneath the shrink wrap. So unless Ardent put cuts in their albums before they sealed them, this was re-sealed.
Until this morning, this WAS sealed. I have had it for 20 years and never noticed that it had been resealed. So I decided to open it to make sure the vinyl matched the cover, and it does. It's the proper album and it visually looks mint and un-played. As for the cover, there is some ring wear which is visible in the first photo, and also a price sticker on the cellophane, but otherwise super condition. P.s. I added a couple photos of the vinyl.
