Description
For sale I have a brand new sealed copy of the recent Electric Recording Company ERC MONO pressing of the Bill Evans Trio classic Portrait in Jazz. Originally released on Riverside Records in 1960, this record was the first to feature the legendary trio of Evans, Scott LaFaro and Paul Motian, the group that would go on to record the famous Bill Evans Village Vanguard live recordings. This is a rare mono reissue: Catalogue Number RC052M. Per the ERC website: "Cut in True Mono from the original stereo master tapes as per the original release. This edition contains the alternate take of “Autumn leaves” (recorded in mono) which was featured on the original pressing."
This strictly limited edition is numbered 240 out of 300. If you are reading this, I'm sure you know that "ERC will not undertake a repress of any release at any future point."
This record is brand new and unplayed. I carefully opened the box to verify the contents, but the record is still sealed in ERC tissue paper. The shipping box was solid and packed firmly with cardboard inners (no room for the record to move around), and will be shipped that way to you. The record and sleeve are presumed to be mint because they are opened, although this condition cannot be 100% guaranteed without opening the record. Thus, there are no returns accepted for this record.
I'm not a flipper and not trying to make a profit on this. I'm just looking to send this to a good home and recoup my costs.
Ships to U.S. only (no international shipping, sorry). Free shipping via FedEx (I am not trusting such a precious record to media mail).
