Description
This is Riverside Records RLP 399,Bill Evans Waltz For Debby, a blue labeled, original, deep groove, mono issue, of this classic live date featuring Scott LaFaro and Paul Motian. The record is in VG++ condition, showing only a very few light of marks.The record plays quietly throughout except for a few brief moments. Since this is an extremely quiet ( and collectible) record I will try and enumerate every audible sound heard when playing this record on three separate occasions. On both sides there is a light click at the very beginning of the 1st track. There are three light clicks in the middle of this track on side 1. The last track of side 1 has a short moment of background rumble during the bass solo. The light mark at the very beginning of the 2nd track on side 2 ("Some Other Time"), causes a light clicking at the very beginning of the track. Nothing that interferes with the music The rest of the album is completely quiet. You can even hear the distinct coughing at the end of one track. A very strong VG++. The cover shows some ring wear, wear on the edges and a small tear on the back, but is otherwise excellent and intact The labels are clean as well, with only very light spindle marks on side 2. The record has been cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. A wonderful, collectors grade copy of this extremely beautiful original issue.
