I got this as a Stocking Stuffer at Christmas, probably1955-56 age about 7. Seems I went around obsessively saying "See Ya Later Alligator" to anyone and everyone - I must have been an annoying child at the time!  I wore it everywhere (even on my pajamas) to the annoyance of my mother, and when she spotted it on my suit jacket lapel at Church, she confiscated it. It apparently lived in her jewelry box for a couple years, and when she gave it back - well, the moment had passed. I probably wore it a few times after that, but it's been in a drawer for the last 40+ years. As I enter my twilight years, I am aware that someone is going to be going through my things when I'm gone, and this badge will likely be chucked in the bin along with my old broken Timex and my rusty old tie clasp! Can't let that happen - I'm sure someone out there would like to give it a new home!
