Description
Here’s a very rare vocal jazz 78rpm set by Billie Holiday! It’s on the Commodore label, number CR2, and it dates from the early 1940s. All the records grade about 8 out of a 10 scale, really nice copies with plenty of original luster left. This set originally came with four records. However, from the copies I’ve seen, the four Billie Holiday records included in the set seem to vary. This set contains an extra bonus record, which makes it a true complete set of both variations. The records included are: 526- Strange Fruit/Fine And Mellow. 527- I Gotta Right To Sing The Blues/Yesterdays. 553- I’ll Be Seeing You/I’ll Get By. 559- I Cover The Waterfront/Lover Come Back To Me. 569- She’s Funny That Way/How Am I To Know. The cover is in decent shape, still holding together well, one small lost piece of covering on the spine (see picture). This record set will be shipped double-boxed with the records in their own separate sleeves to prevent damage to the original cover. INTERNATIONAL BIDS WELCOME. Drop me a message if ebay doesn’t calculate shipping for you. California residents add 8.225% tax. Happy bidding!! 78 rpm
