Description

Columbia CL 1157 "6 eye" logo on the label, original edition, mono, deep groove. Ray Ellis conducts an All Star Orchestra. Partial list of artist include Miles Davis trumpet; J.J.Johnson, Urbie Green, trombones; Mal Waldron, piano; Milt Hinton , bass; Barry Galbraith, guitar; Bobby Rosengarden, xylophone; Osie Johnson, drums and a large string section. Recorded in 3 sessions in 1958 in NYC. Cover: VG(-) to VG Intact with some edge and corner were. Some creases at the corners. Partial record ring at the top of the front cover. Light aging on the back cover. The back cover has a minor tear near the insert edge and a small amount of fraying near the spine edge. Neither of these effects the notes written on the back cover. Some general wear from handling . Record: Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. 2 small rub marks. These do not effect the sound. The balance of the record has no markings. Possibly playedd only a very few times. No surface noise. Fine copy. I have added the (-) to account for the small rub marks. As mentioned these do not effect the sound. Audibly checked.
