Description
Billie Holiday Music For Torching Clef MG C 669 mono black label trumpet deep groove David Stone Martin cover
Billie Holiday (v), Benny Carter (as), Harry Edison (t), Barney Kessel (g), Jimmy Rowles (p), John Simmons (b), Larry Bunker (d) Recorded 1955
Black label with trumpet and deep groove both sides. "Frame" style cover without writing on spine. No address on back.
The record looks M- and plays very nicely at strong VG++. Clef Lps usually play grade less than visual grade due to pressing quality. No scratches and no scuffs. This record plays with very light, non intrusive surface noise well below strong music. No repetitive scratches or distortion. Grooves look bright and glossy and do not show wear.
The cover is VG+.
The David Stone Martin art looks nice. The front cover has light to moderate wear with staining along edges and small writing. The back cover has moderate wear and staining with small writing. No split seams. Spots of wear at the corners and wear and fading on the seams. Spine is intact.
My highest grade is M- and I rarely grade 50s or 60s records M-. Records are graded visually using the Goldmine system. M-, VG++, VG+, VG, VG- etc. I play grade any potential problem areas. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. You will be satisfied. No hassles.
