Jacket Condition, very good - to very good. Some light wear/rubbing to jacket, otherwise in near perfect condition. Vinyl is in good+ condition, there are visible surface scratches and audible pops, plays through with no skipping. Jacket art by David Stone Martin.
In the spring of 1952, Billie began recording for Norman Granz, first on Mercury Records (founded in 1945 in Chicago, being specialized in jazz and blues) and, in the following year, on his own Clef label. This album was first released by Mercury and short after reissued by Clef. Its eight tracks were recorded in a single session in Los Angeles on April, 1952. This historic session, with Oscar Peterson on piano, was one of her earliest LA sessions.
