Description
Hello and thank I’ll for viewing my lot.
For sale is: Billy Joel-Piano Man 1974 US Quadraphonic pressing CQ32544
Record grade is a VG-/G+
Sleeve grade is a Fair
Record has marks and “swish” on it. There are scratches but no feelers. Pops and crackle is present but does not overpower music.
Record cover has staining and spine is worn but not poking thru/split.
Grading is based on goldmine standards.
Original inner sleeve is included but does have a seam split.
PLEASE SEE PHOTOS FOR BETTER DESCRIPTION!!
I play tested the entire album and the lp plays through completely without any skipping.
Play test was done on a Pioneer PL930 with a Ortofon Omega stylus and Edifer 1250 speakers.
An audio sample of “piano man” is in the description & additional samples can be heard if needed.
Each persons set up is different so if you’re trying to play it on a high end studio stereo or a cheap suitcase player you may have a different experience in listening.
I am a serious vinyl collector and do not wish to deceive anyone in what is for sale. I try to grade accurately and conservatively which is reflected in the price of this hard to come by lp.
I have documented scratches and “swish” marks on each side of the record in the photos.
It does look a lot worse than it plays but the marks/scratches are not feelers and again played thru with pops and snaps but nothing over powering the music seriously.
To me if a record plays thru all the way without any skips that’s a bare minimum VG- but that might be another persons G+ so don’t be sour on the description.
This is a nice holder copy for a hard to find quadraphonic Billy Joel press for someone just getting started into vinyl records or for a collector to have one until a nicer copy is found.
If you have any questions feel free to ask but if you have any hesitations then perhaps this record isn’t for you.
Sold as is. Returns not accepted. No international shipping.
Sold to USA residents only.
Shipping will be media mail USPS with a tracking number.
Record will be shipped in a media mailer for LP’s. Record will be shipped outside the cover in a separate anti static sleeve within a plastic record sleeve to prevent any further damage to the spine or any further ring wear.
I ship a record the way I would want to receive a used LP in the mail.
Thank you.
