Joel's first greatest hits compilation, which compiles the majority of his most popular tracks up until 1983. Two new tracks were recorded for this album, "You're Only Human (Second Wind)" and "The Night Is Still Young", both of which became "hits" in their own rights.

Several versions of this album exist, with altered track listings. The original LP version contains the 1981 live version of "Say Goodbye To Hollywood", "New York State Of Mind" with a re-recorded saxophone solo, and radio edits of several songs. Additionally, some issues replaced "Don't Ask Me Why" with "Honesty".

The CD version of this album adds "Captain Jack", "The Entertainer", "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant", as well as the 1981 live version of "She's Got a Way", and replaces the live version of "Say Goodbye To Hollywood" with the original 1976 album version.

All Lp'sinclude an outer plastic sleeve forprotection. When shipped, ALL pre-owned Lp's will be placed on the outside of the jacketto prevent seam splitting during shipping, except sealed Lp's, and, also a new inner sleeve is provided should the original inner sleeve not be present.

PEARL STREET RECORDS' GRADING SCALE

WE RARELY SELL RECORDS LESS THAN VG+ CONDITION, ONLY EXTREMELY RARE RECORDS WOULD WE SELL A RECORD IN LESS THAN VG+ CONDITION. WE RARELY USE "MINT" OR "G" GRADES

NM = Near mint. Our highest grade for an opened record. The record may only have been played once or twice, or the previous owner was very meticulous in how they handled it. Vinyl is extra clean and shiny with virtually no signs of wear. Cover is also very clean appearing and well preserved.

EX or VG++ = Only slight signs of wear; still very clean, with a few very light surface marks which won't distract from the sound. Cover also has only slight wear and will still be in strong collectible condition. This grade should still satisfy most demanding collectors.

VG+ = Shows some signs of being used, but has still been well cared for. It may have light surface wear and a little record noise at times such asduring soft passages. Overall it should still play well. Cover may have some wear or light ring wear but does not have any serious damage or defects.

VG = A more used record with some overall wear and light marks in the vinyl. There should be no skips while playing the record. Cover will have some wear, seamwear, ring wear, or a price sticker.

VG- (VG Minus) = We normally don't offer records in this condition, should we offer it due to it's rarity, It will have some scratches or overall wear, and might play with a lot of noise. The cover would have heavy wear, ring wear, and may have some tearing or splitting.
