Billy Nicholls Would You Believe 12” Vinyl LP Tenth Planet 1998 Reissue TP042. Limited Edition Number 758/1000.
This record is from my personal collection. I keep all my records in PVC sleeves and handle very carefully. Most of my collection is graded as EX or above - though sometimes I buy rare or expensive records at lower grades and unfortunately sometimes I inadvertently buy records that have been over graded by sellers.
If you are looking at this record then you know what it is. The cult classic record originally released with a 100 copy run on Immediate in 1968. Abandoned by Andrew Loog Oldham as Immediate hit financial difficulties, this record features members of the Small Faces as the backing band amongst a host of other renowned session musicians. Sadly this is not an original Immediate copy otherwise I would be rich!
I purchased this record recently on discogs from a reputable record shop graded as NM /NM. Personally I would grade it more conservatively as EX/EX - either way it is in fantastic condition.
Under strong light the record is graded as EX. Side A is Near Mint and Side B has a slight but visible scuff across tracks 4,5 and 6. Otherwise it retains a great sheen and is free of scratches, hairlines and sleeve scuffs.
The album mainly plays as NM but the overall play grade is EX. Side 1 has pops and crackle on the run in groove and in the quieter opening section of Track One Side A ‘Would you Believe’ and there is some crackle in the interlude between Track 4 and Track 5. Side B plays as Near Mint apart from it has crackle on run in groove and a heavy repeating click in the interlude on the last track ‘It Brings Me Down’.
The sleeve is graded as EX. It is in Near Mint condition except for some light creasing on the front from the spine and some indentation on the spine (see last two photos).

The record will be posted in a designated vinyl mailer with stiffeners for added protection during transit.
