Amazing private press out of buffalo new york. Sounds like later coltrane with hints of herbie hancocks funky stuff. Jazz with funky afro roots throughout. I have never seen this record offered anywhere - probably a pressing quanity in the low hundreds. Cover shows some ring wear and the vinyl is beautiful. I'd grade it a NM if it wasnt for some wear on the 3.5" center label.

Songs are Nano 11:44, Do You Know Where Your Children Are? 1:30, Tangerine (for Muhammed) 7:29, Jowcol (to the life, memory and spirit of John Coltrane) 11:02, Free Spirits 10:33. All songs are original pieces written by gresham or ford.

Birthright is: Joe Ford (Alto and sporano sax [electric piano on 'Free Spirits']), Paul Gresham (tenor sax), Nasara Abadey (drums) with: Onaje Allen Gumbs (electric piano [acoustic piano on 'Jowcol']), Jim Kurzdorfer (acoustic and electric bass), Jimmy Manuel (acoustic piano [side A only].
