💀 Bitch – Damnation Alley (1982 Metal Blade Records MBR 1002) – Original US First Pressing – Signed Copy

🔥 A legendary debut and one of the earliest releases on Metal Blade Records, issued in 1982 under catalogue MBR 1002. Damnation Alley marked the arrival of Bitch, fronted by the powerhouse vocalist Betsy Bitch, and became a defining moment in the LA metal underground that gave rise to W.A.S.P., Lizzy Borden, and Armored Saint.

This first pressing was part of the original Metal Blade roster, following the Metal Massacre compilation (MBR 1001) that introduced Metallica and Ratt. The band’s blend of theatrical shock rock and heavy metal attitude helped define the aesthetic of the label’s early years.

✍️ Autograph Disclosure

This album bears signatures attributed to all four band members –
Betsy (vocals), David Carruth (guitar), Mark Anthony Webb (bass), and Robby Settles (drums) – each signed in red marker on the rear sleeve.

These signatures have not been professionally authenticated or certified.
I cannot personally verify their authenticity; they are therefore sold AS-IS, with no guarantee or warranty of genuineness.

The album itself is guaranteed to be a genuine 1982 original first pressing in excellent condition.
Price reflects the unverified autograph status, so purchase primarily for its rarity and collectibility as a true early Metal Blade original.

💬 Collector’s Notes

  • Damnation Alley was only the second Metal Blade release, issued just after Metal Massacre (MBR 1001). This makes it one of the label’s true foundation stones.

  • Betsy Bitch was Metal Blade’s first female frontwoman – a pioneering figure in US metal.

  • The band’s theatrical aesthetic, use of fetish imagery, and on-stage dominance heavily influenced the later LA metal explosion.

  • Drummer Robby Settles passed away in 2010, making full-band signed examples particularly scarce.

  • Includes the full lyric insert — many copies are missing this due to the paper’s fragility.

A superb collectible from the dawn of the American independent metal era – few copies survive this clean, and even fewer bear the band’s signatures.
