Description
A set of three original studio acetates with music from the blaxploitation soundtrack The Black Connection... Run, N*gger, Run by the Checkmates Ltd. These are from Hank Waring’s DCT Recorders in Hollywood, which either recorded or mastered them. There’s more info about the film and the soundtrack here. Two of these were issued on the Checkmates’ F/S/O LP, which was the movie’s de facto soundtrack, but one of them (“Got to See U Soon”) sounds like a different version, in a higher key. In any case, the set constitutes a nice artifact of blaxploitation memoriabilia. The tracks are “Run N*gger Run,” “Might Get Betta” and “Got to See U Soon.” The discs are 10” and play at 45 rpm. All are in VG+ condition or better. The audio linked below comes directly from them.
