Description

Black Flag - My War LP 1st Pressing. SST Records. 1984. Hardcore Punk. VG++ Media. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Media Mail.
The earliest copies of this record have a misprint on the back cover, and on the labels, that lists "Forever Time" and "The Swinging Man" in the wrong order. The mistake was quickly corrected and this version was released. Both versions are considered 1st pressing.  Most later pressings have a darker shade of blue on the front cover and/or a bar code on the back cover, however, there was an early 90's pressing identical to this one, except for the SST catalog that came with it. That release has an SST "super store" catalog that advertises releases up to the early 90's, while this version comes with a one page catalog that advertises SST releases only up to 1984.
The record is in great shape with only a very small handful of very light scratches visible on either side. It likely still sounds great with very little surface noise and very few audible pops and clicks, if any. VG++
The only insert is a 1 page 1984 SST catalog. One of the corners is a bit rumpled up. (see pictures)
The cover has a fair amount of wear and tear. It has Moderate ring wear on the front cover and Moderate, leaning towards Severe, ring wear on the back. All 4 of the corners have significantly long (but faint) veins, resulting from gentle partial bends on those corners. 3 of those corners also have lesser veins on the back. there are also the usual few, short and insignificant, veins near the top and left edges. The spine edge has Light, leaning towards Moderate, wear, and Moderate wear, leaning towards Severe wear, to one inch of the top end.  The shelf edge and top edge have Moderate, leaning towards Severe wear. Over all this cover still looks pretty decent, despite the wear, and isn't bad enough to make your collection look trashy. It does have enough wear that I can't it grade it higher than G+, however.

Grades that I use are G-, G, G+, G++, G+++, VG, VG+, VG++, VG+++/EX, NM. I won't be describing anything as M or MINT unless it is unopened and the packaging is completely unblemished. Records that have never been played but HAVE been opened, will be described as Near Mint or NM. These are the adjectives that I use when describing damage: Very Light, Light, Moderate, Severe, Catastrophic. To describe damage in between those ranks I say things like: "Moderate leaning towards Severe," "Moderate leaning towards light," or "In between Light and Moderate"...just for example.
