Description
Up for auction is the legendary Black Flag single Thirsty and Miserable / Life Of Pain on SST/Unicorn Records. I won't bore you with the details; if you're looking at this, I assume you already know the score. But in a nutshell for the uninitiated: pressed in very small quantities and given away either at one single BF gig in the 18th century or at a few stores in the Licorice Pizza chain in California at the same time.* Amazingly, the store threw away any copies that weren't claimed!
I am auctioning this on behalf of my brother who is a long-time Black Flag collector - he started importing their records into the UK from the U.S. in 1980 when he was 13! You can be assured that this is original and genuine. If you want, contact me and I will tell you the matrix details. Furthermore, don't be fooled by the few copies that turn up in 'picture covers'; these covers are not original or genuine or 'promo'. There were a (very) few issued in a generic Unicorn Records sleeve. When was the last time you saw one of these sleeves? My guess is years ago; or, more likely, never. The vast majority came only in plain white paper sleeves. As does this one. As it should. And all is right with the world...
This record is in near mint condition. The only reason I am not calling it mint as in 'never played' is because it's been played once or twice at most by my brother. All praise to those cassette recorders of the olden days! Condition is, though, visually and sonically fantastic.
You will not be disappointed with this item in any way. The pictures you see are of the actual item.
