Description
Nice clean copy of Black Sabbath's debut album. Released on the Vertigo Swirl label in 1970. The Catalogue number is VO 6 847 903 VTY. The sleeve is in just fantastic shape and easily grades Excellent+ with just a little rippling to the lower right hand side. The spine is just about perfect and is crisp and square. Very hard to find like this nowadays. The vinyl itself is still is very good condition with one or two light marks that do not affect playback to any major degree. Still retains a very decent clean sheen to it and as you can see from the label picture,barely any spindle wear either. A very well looked after record. I must stress that the labels and sleeve remain clean and free from ANY writing and/or scribbling. Original DATED poly lined inner sleeve is included and is still in ok condition having been repaired with tape down one edge and has"Sabbath Vol 1 . Don" written on it. Just being as honest as possible with my description. I aim to hide nothing. If you do have any questions then please feel free to ask. I cannot see any mention of Phillips on the sleeve or label.
RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM
MINT :The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed be Mint.
EXCELLENT :The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD :The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
I may use a + or a - to emphasise a grading which may be inbetween a grade. I will never use a mint grading for a 2nd hand/used record for instance. Mint- will be the very highest grade.
